RARE: Vintage (Early 1920's) Muffin Warmer - "The Poppy" - by Sebring "Golden Maize" China.
Made in Sebring, OH, and considered RARE because the "Mark" is not shown on the company list of 42 marks. This item CLEARLY shows "Reg. U.S. Pat. Office - July 19, 1927.
This item is referred to as a Muffin (Pancake) Warmer, and features a floral design of Red Poppies and Golden Coreopsis with Jadeite Green Leaves, and is part of the famous Sebring "Golden Maize" series.
Both pieces are in excellent condition for their age --- approx. 100 yrs. old --- and show the wear expected of an item used in that period. There are a few slight chips on the Under-Side of the Plate (see photos) that are not visible unless you turn the plate over, or run your finger around the rim of the plate.
A unique piece from the EARLY 1920's era.
